Genea makes IVF more accessible through partnership with Zip

SYDNEY, 1 NOVEMBER 2018: Leading Australian fertility group Genea is making IVF more accessible by partnering with Zip Co Limited to offer patients interest free instalments on IVF cycle costs.
Time can be of vital importance when it comes to fertility so giving patients access to a new payment method will help them get the treatment they need, when they need it.
"For many patients, the news they need IVF to create their family can come as a surprise and it's not something they've had time to factor into their budget. It's very important to Genea that patients don't feel like they need to compromise and seek cheaper alternatives or delay their treatment and therefore reduce their chance of success," Genea Fertility General Manager, Operations Kathleen Waite said.
"While IVF in Australia isn't as expensive as many people first think, it can be more than most people have put aside in their savings. To help people faced with the situation of needing unexpected fertility treatment and ensure they don't need to compromise on quality, Genea has partnered with Zip, offering patients another way to access treatment immediately and pay over time."
When using Zip at Genea, patients can get six months interest free to pay for cycle costs involved in IVF or other assisted fertility treatments. Zip will also be available to Genea Horizon patients planning to freeze their eggs.
"Zip's mission to make finance fairer and more responsible for everyone, aligns well with Genea Fertility's vision to maximise the potential for our patients to experience the joy of having a baby. We look forward to this partnership helping our patients get the treatment they need sooner," Ms Waite said.
