Geo-target message issued to help find woman missing from Chester Hill

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a woman missing from Sydney's south-west.

Mrs Thi Ban Tran, aged 82, was last seen at her home in Chester Hill about 6pm today (Monday 4 July 2022).

Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command were contacted about 10pm and have commenced an investigation into her whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for Mrs Tran's welfare as she lives with a number of medical conditions including dementia, as well as the deteriorating weather.

Mrs Tran is described as being of Asian appearance, about 147cm tall and 50kg with a slim build. She has shoulder-length grey hair, and dark eyes. When last seen she was wearing lightweight yellow pants, a thick pink jacket and was carrying a black umbrella.

Her family has told police she also frequents the Fairfield East area.

Mrs Tran may appear confused or disoriented.
