Geo-targeted message issued for man missing from Northern Beaches

Police have issued a geo-targeted message to Seaforth and surrounding areas this morning, appealing for public assistance to locate 84-year-old Barry Grindell, who is missing from Sydney's Northern Beaches.

Barry was last seen at his residence on Sydney Road at Seaforth around 6.30pm yesterday (Monday 7 November 2022); when he could not be located, officers attached to Northern Beaches Police Area Command were contacted and commenced inquiries.

Family and police hold concerns for Barry's welfare as he lives with a number of medical conditions which require ongoing treatment.

Barry is described as being of Caucasian appearance, with grey hair and a skinny build, and was last seen wearing a long sleeve shirt and grey or black pants. He has a dark coloured mark on his forehead, and a noticeable hunch.

He is known to frequent local areas including Fairlight and Balgowlah.

Anyone who may have seen Mr Grindell, or may know of his whereabouts, is urged to contact police.
