Girl Charged Over Armed Robbery, Parkwood

Police have charged a girl as part of ongoing investigations into a car that was stolen from a delivery driver at Parkwood in the early hours of this morning, 8 January.

Around 1.30am, a 25-year-old male delivery driver was making a food delivery to an address on Rodriguez Court and was approaching the front door.

The man had parked at the bottom of the steep driveway and was at the top end of the property, when he allegedly observed two people jump in his vehicle and drive towards Alcott Court.

The man ran after his vehicle and attempted to remove the keys from the ignition at which time, the pair allegedly produced a knife and threatened the man.

It is alleged that the pair then fled in the man's vehicle.

The man was not physically injured during the incident.

Following investigations, police executed a search warrant at a Gilston property today where they arrested a 15-year-old girl.

She is scheduled to appear at the Southport Childrens Court tomorrow, 9 January.
