Girl struck by car in Williams Landing

Westgate Highway Patrol officers are appealing for public assistance following a collision in Williams Landing yesterday.

Police have been told a girl was walking across a pedestrian crossing at the intersection of Federation Trial and Forsyth Road when she was struck by a car about 3.30pm.

The nine-year-old Williams Landing girl was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the silver Holden Commodore stopped at the scene.

A 42-year-old man from Werribee is currently assisting police with their enquiries.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or that may have dashcam footage to come forward.
