Girl suffers leg fracture in fail to stop crash - Central West

Police from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit are appealing for information after a child was hit by a trailbike in the state's Central West yesterday.

About 7.30pm (Tuesday 2 March 2021), a six-year-old girl was in the driveway of a home on Kurim Avenue, Orange, when she was struck by a trailbike that came out of Edye Park.

The girl suffered a fractured leg and was taken to Orange Base Hospital where she remains in a stable condition.

The rider of the trailbike fled the scene.

A crime scene was established as investigations got underway.

Officers are calling for anyone who may have information, or who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
