Glamming it up in City of Lights

Young lawyers are being advised to brush up on their Can-Can in preparation for the Young Professionals Charity Ball, a spectacular French-themed affair to be held at Sydney' Sofitel Wentworth on 31 August 2019.

Now in its 13th year, the annual Young Professionals Charity Ball incorporates dinner, dancing and socialising with other young professionals from the NSW legal community for a good cause.

Inspired by the classic Parisian streets, the Sofitel Wentworth Ballroom will be transformed into a city of lights for this year's event, recreating the nonchalance, glamour and joie de vivre of the era.

Young Professionals are being urged to dress in keeping with the glamourous theme of the night, "L'Affaire Parisienne", which will include a three-course dinner, both a live and silent auction, raffles, games, music and more.

Hosted by the NSW Young Lawyers in collaboration with other professional bodies, all proceeds from this year's event go towards supporting the Public Interest Advocacy Centre (PIAC) in its advocacy work for disadvantaged, marginalised and vulnerable members of the community.

Tickets for the evening cost $170 per person or $1,650 for a table of 10.

NSW Young Lawyers President, Jennifer Windsor, said the Charity Ball is now considered to be the social event of the year for all young legal professionals in the state.

"After the huge success of last year's Charity Ball, we've had to work hard to create an event that will have that extra 'oh la la' factor," Ms Windsor said.

After a lot of planning and mood boards, I have no doubt we'll once again surpass expectations.

"This event gives young professionals a glamorous backdrop to network with their peers whilst enjoying a spectacular night of great food and games.

And it's all to raise money for a wonderful charity, PIAC.

"This is a night not to be missed."
