No data is yet available on how much glass was picked up in the first whole week of the recycling changes or how much rubbish was sent to landfill. This data will be available tomorrow. However, anecdotally there appears to be less weight in the recycle bins.
The glass deposit sites were emptied three times over the past week.
We are working with our contractors to achieve an adaptive schedule that matches the flow of product coming into the site and identify where additional services are required.
Inclusion of additional bins or increased frequency of collection will determined with input from host sites and feedback from the site monitoring. The review of each site will continue to be adaptive unless a clear pattern of use is established over the coming weeks. The consideration of further sites will be undertaken as part of the assessment of the existing sites success and management requirements.
