Glenorchy man charged with fraud and stealing, TAS

Detectives from Hobart Criminal Investigation Branch have interviewed and charged a 41-year-old Glenorchy man with the theft of mobile phones with a value of approximately $20,000, Tasmania Police say.

Police will allege that the man was an employee of a local delivery business and that over a period of 12 months in 2017/18 he stole the mobile phones and then sold them on the internet.

The man was charged with stealing and dishonestly acquiring a financial advantage.

He will appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court on a later date.
