A brand new fish cleaning facility is coming soon to Hastings. Located at the boat ramp, the new facility will be completed by the end of the year. Local fishing enthusiasts can look forward to a sheltered 24-hour accessible facility with sensor lights and four full size tables.

This project is being delivered as an action from the Hastings South Coastal Management Plan (2015) and Hastings Foreshore Precinct Plan (2018).

The new facility has been designed in consultation with the Westernport Angling Club and the Victorian Fisheries Authority.

The Victorian Fisheries Authority is funding the project through the Target One Million program.

Quote attributable to Cerberus Ward Councillor Lisa Dixon:

"The new facility will be located 10 meters away from the existing fish cleaning tables. This means people can still use the old facilities while the new ones are being built.

"I look forward to seeing this project come to life and in use by the community. Construction is planned to start in November and should be completed by Christmas."
