Beveridge residents now have access to a fully bulk-billed local GP service, with Mitchell Shire Council and Annadale Family Medical Centre joining forces to bring healthcare closer to home.
The service will open on Saturday 6 June at the Greater Beveridge Community Centre and run every Saturday from 8.30am to 5pm, with a general practitioner and onsite nurse.
Beveridge is one of Victoria's fastest-growing communities. Until now, residents have had to travel 15-20 minutes to Wallan or Craigieburn for standard medical care - a burden felt most by young families. This partnership directly addresses that gap.
"Mitchell Shire is growing at a remarkable pace, and our community deserves services that keep up," Mitchell Shire Mayor John Dougall said.
