Black Friday is the ideal opportunity to snap up a bargain and get ahead on the Christmas shopping list before the busy silly season.

There'll be something for everyone on Black Friday in central Geelong and plenty of entertainment to get shoppers in the festive spirit.

Our local retailers are planning a range of special offers and bargains that will appeal to not only those searching for that perfect gift, but shoppers who enjoy a leisurely browse.

Councillor Peter Murrihy - Chair, Economic Development portfolio

Supporting local businesses continues to be important, as the region recovers from the pandemic.

The Christmas period is vital for retailers, as they can make up to two thirds of their annual profits at this time.

It's been a difficult year for our hard-working retailers with staff shortages and supply chain issues, so our Black Friday event is a chance to support local jobs and businesses while creating a pleasant shopping experience.
