Graduation of Recruit Constable Squad 134

Northern Territory Police welcomed 30 new constables into the fold yesterday with the graduation of Recruit Constable Squad 134.

The squad commenced their course on 3 April 2018 which included training in cultural awareness, legislation, and police powers and obligations, Northern Territory Police say

Six of the recruit constables have already served with the NT Police with three former Aboriginal Community Police Officers and three former Police Auxiliaries. The recruit constables will be posted to towns throughout the Northern Territory including Alice Springs, Katherine, Tennant Creek, and Darwin.

Yesyerday’s graduation ceremony was attended by Her Honour the Administrator of the Northern Territory the Honourable Vicki O’Halloran, Minister for Police, Fire and Emergency Services, the Honourable Nicole Manison MLA, Commissioner of Police, CEO of Fire and Emergency Services Reece P Kershaw APM and the PFES executive as well as family and friends of the graduates.
