Goulburn Mulwaree's soccer community have an outstanding new home, after the official opening of the Graham Coe Pavilion today at Cookbundoon Sporting Fields.

The project involved demolition of old structures and construction of a new 430 square metre pavilion which features four adult change rooms, two junior change rooms, multifunction area, canteen, male toilets, female toilets, accessible toilet and an officials room with office.

"It is fantastic to have the new pavilion open, and ready to go for the 2022 soccer season" said Mayor Bob Kirk.

"I'm sure it will be a bumper year for all sports next year as people enjoy getting back into normal activities, and the Southern Tablelands Football Association will be well prepared to cater for everyone with this large new space."

"It was lovely to have family members of Graham Coe there for the opening, and it is fitting that the facility will be named after someone who gave so much to the sport in Goulburn."

The naming of the Cookbundoon Pavilion to the Graham Coe Pavilion was resolved by Council at its meeting on the 24 August 2021.

Council resolved that "the Cookbundoon pavilion be named the Graham Coe Pavilion. A plaque be placed in the Cookbundoon pavilion recognising the commitment, passion and service of Graham Coe to soccer in this region and the Coe family be invited to a ceremony to celebrate that service and unveil the plaque.'

The event was attended by Mayor Bob Kirk, Member for Hume the Hon Angus Taylor MP, representatives of Graham Coe's family along with Southern Tablelands Football Association, representatives of Football NSW, Deputy Mayor Peter Walker, Councillors and directors and employees of local contractor ARW who built the pavilion.
