Tickets for The Grand Final Footy Show spectacular at Rod Laver Arena are now on sale, and fans can book from 6.00am Monday, August 19, through Ticketek.
Eddie McGuire will host the big night, joined by the original member of The Footy Show panel and 300-game Geelong legend Sam Newman, and co-host Rebecca Maddern, the first female host of The Footy Show and Geelong Football Club’s No.1 ticket-holder.
Hawthorn premiership player and Brownlow Medallist Shane Crawford will be there, along with Cats great Billy Brownless and Brendan Fevola, who recently hung up his boots for good after playing local footy since retiring from the AFL in 2011, as well as Western Bulldogs favourite and resident court jester Doug Hawkins.
Rock group Birds of Tokyo will be ready to lift the roof off Rod Laver Arena and James Reyne will sing a medley of classics going back to the hits from Australian Crawl.
The ever-popular Player Revue will take to the stage with a twist – players from local football clubs who have auditioned for a chance to appear in the annual show-stopper alongside the AFL stars by taking part in the “Born to Dance” competition now running.
