Grant Applications Open for 2025-26

Devonport City Council Tasmania

Applications for Devonport City Council's Major and Minor Grants are now open, providing important funding support for initiatives, activities and programs that enhance and strengthen the Devonport community.

Council remains committed to partnering with local organisations and community groups, recognising their vital role in creating a connected, inclusive and thriving City. The grants program supports projects that deliver tangible community benefit and contribute to Devonport's long-term wellbeing and resilience.

The program offers two funding categories-Major Grants and Minor Grants-to support projects of different sizes, scope and impact.

"These grants are a practical way Council can support the incredible work our community organisations do every day," said Mayor Alison Jarman.

"By investing in local projects and ideas, we help build a stronger community-one that is active, connected and ready for the future."

The Community Financial Assistance Scheme supports a diverse range of focus areas, including:

• Community development

• Culture and heritage

• Economic development

• Sport and recreation

• Healthy living and lifelong learning

Grants are available to eligible not-for-profit community organisations and groups and may be used to support initiatives such as community programs, events, equipment purchases, infrastructure upgrades, individual development and charitable activities.

Applications open from Monday 15 December 2025 and will close at 9:00am on Monday 16 February 2026. Applications will be assessed, and applicants will be notified of the outcome by April 2026.
