Jeremy Rockliff,Minister for Education and Training

The Hodgman majority Liberal Government is committed to ensuring that Tasmania has the skilled workforce it needs to support our growing economy.

As part of the North-West Tasmania Job Ready Generation package, the Government has signed a Grant Deed with the Cradle Coast Authority.

The investment of $130,000 will see a total of 20 pre-apprenticeships and apprenticeships within local councils across a wide range of qualifications.

This initiative will provide a new entry level pathway into apprenticeship or traineeship careers into local government organisations in the region.

The Government is committed to creating more opportunities for Tasmanians to start their careers and get into work, while boosting the economy in the North West.
