Community groups, sporting clubs, not-for-profits and local businesses across the Toowoomba Region will now find it easier than ever to discover grant opportunities thanks to a new online portal.

Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) has launched the new Grants Guru online portal, which provides a streamlined, user-friendly way to discover and apply for funding opportunities.

Toowoomba Region Mayor Geoff McDonald said the new digital tool will make it easier for locals to secure grants that help strengthen the region's community, cultural, environmental, and economic initiatives.

"Accessing grants can make a significant difference to the growth and sustainability of our community organisations and businesses.

"The new Grants Guru portal brings funding opportunities together in one place, making the process clearer, simpler and more accessible for everyone across our region," Mayor McDonald said.

Features of the portal include:

  • A regularly updated database of local, State and Federal grant programs
  • Smart search tools to match users with relevant funding
  • Easy-to-read summaries and application guidance
  • Email alerts for new grant opportunities
  • Resources to support strong and competitive applications

Mayor McDonald said the project reflects Council's ongoing commitment to supporting community-led initiatives and regional development.

"Whether you're a sporting club looking for facility upgrades, a community group launching a new program, or a business seeking innovation funding, Grants Guru will help you find the right support at the right time," he said.

The Grants Guru portal is now live on TRC's website at - https://www.tr.qld.gov.au/community-business/grants-funding/apply-by-category/16726-toowoomba-grant-and-funding-finder
