Great Unwaste Is Coming To Kempsey Library

Kempsey Shire Council

Have you ever thought about your food shopping and usage habits?

In collaboration with Midwaste, our local libraries are running a Great Unwaste display and competition from Friday 6 to 19 February.

The Great Unwaste is focussed on food waste avoidance, encouraging targeted actions for householders to reduce food waste.

There will be a library pop-up stall which will include:

  • The opportunity to writing up a pledge in committment to reducing waste
  • Freebies (only available while stocks last)
  • A competition to win a free swag bag!

To be in the running, you'll need to attend one of our Libraries (Kempsey, South West Rocks and Stuarts Point) and fill out a competition slip and place it in the box provided. Prizes will be drawn on Tuesday 24 February 2026.

Bring your mates and get to unwasting!

Key dates:

  • Competition running 6 to 20th of February.
  • Prize draw on Tuesday 24 February.
