Greens Urge Labor MPs to Reject WorkCover Changes Bill

Australian Greens

The Victorian Greens have renewed their calls on the Victorian Labor Government to withdraw their WorkCover bill, following reports some Labor MPs are against the changes.

The Greens say the anti-worker bill would screw workers over by making it harder for injured workers to get the support they need.

As stated by Victorian Greens industrial relations spokesperson, Sam Hibbins MP:

"Even Labor's own MPs know the Victorian Government's proposed WorkCover changes are bad.

"It will hurt workers by making it harder for injured workers to get the support they need.

"Now Labor is trying to do a deal with the Liberals to rush them through Parliament.

"The Government needs to withdraw this bill and go back to the drawing board."
