Greyhound racing NSW COVID-19 update

Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) wishes to inform all participants of the latest industry COVID-19 updates following the recent announcement from the NSW Government that the Greater Sydney region will be in lockdown for two weeks.

Firstly, the race meeting scheduled for Richmond tomorrow, Sunday June 26, has been abandoned.

Earlier today GRNSW announced that the Group 1 Vic Peters Classic and the Group 1 Peter Mosman Opal would be transferred from Wentworth Park, to now be run Gosford over the next two Saturday nights, July 3 and July 10. GRNSW can now confirm that as a result of the lockdown, these two events will not be taking place as scheduled. Further advice on the two Group 1 races will be passed on to all participants when it is available.

The NSW race meetings scheduled for Monday, June 28 at Grafton, Bathurst and Nowra, will all go ahead as scheduled.

GRNSW will work on a revised racing schedule for the remainder of the coming two week period of the lockdown, and relay this information to its participants in the very near future.
