Detectives have charged a 17-year-old Cherbourg girl following a wounding incident in Cherbourg on 3 January.
Around 6pm, police were called to an altercation on Bell Street where it is alleged a 19-year-old Cherbourg woman was stabbed twice by the 17-year-old.
The woman sustained serious injuries and was initially treated at Cherbourg Hospital before being transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital.
The 17-year-old girl left the scene prior to police arrival but was arrested on 5 January following police investigations.
She has been charged with one count each of grievous bodily harm and possessing a knife in a public place.
She is due to appear in the Murgon Children's Court on 6 January.
