Grievous bodily harm at Millmerran

A 25-year-old man has been arrested following a grievous bodily harm incident in The Pines, near Millmerran, last night.

Early investigations indicate a domestic dispute occurred at an address in The Pines around 9.30pm where a 56-year-old man sustained a significant injury to his hand caused by a long bladed weapon.

The 25-year-old man fled the scene and was located a short time later at a service station on Gore Highway, Captains Mountain.

The 25-year-old man complied with police and was taken into custody.

The 56-year-old man was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

The two men are believed to be known to each other.

Investigations are continuing. There is no further information at this time.
