Police have charged a man following an assault incident at Broadbeach yesterday evening (June 2), Queensland Police say.
It is alleged about 6pm at a cab rank on Casino Drive, an altercation has occurred between three men.
As a result, a 38-year-old man has received a serious injury to his ear.
The man was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital for medical treatment.
A 35-year-old Shepparton man has been charged with one count of grievous bodily harm and is due to appear in the Southport Magistrate Court today.
