Grievous bodily harm charge at Burnett Heads

Queensland Police have charged a 27-year-old man after a 38-year-old man sustained life-threatening injuries at Burnett Heads, near Bundaberg, on Tuesday, June 20.

Around 8.30pm, emergency services were called to a hotel on Zunker Street following reports of an altercation between the pair.

Police will allege the older man had been assaulted and then thrown to the ground.

The 38-year-old Burnett Heads man was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital for treatment to a critical head injury, where he remains.

A 27-year-old Burnett Heads man has been charged with one count of Grievous Bodily Harm and will appear in the Bundaberg Magistrates Court tomorrow, June 23.
