Grievous Bodily Harm Charges, Coolum Beach

Detectives from the Sunshine Coast Criminal Investigation Unit and Child Protection and Investigation Unit have charged three people following an alleged wounding at Coolum Beach on Saturday, March 30.

It will be alleged at approximately 6pm, an altercation occurred between two groups, not known to each other, at a park along Margaret Street.

Upon arrival, police located a 31-year-old Noosaville man and an 18-year-old Noosaville man with stab wounds.

Both were transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital where the 18-year-old continues to receive treatment.

Three people, who were allegedly involved in the altercation, left the scene on foot prior to police arrival.

Detectives have charged an 18-year-old Yandina man with two counts of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, and one count each of armed robbery and assaults occasioning bodily harm.

He is due to appear at Maroochydore Magistrates Court on April 30.

Detectives have charged a 37-year-old Coolum Beach woman with two counts of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, and one count each of armed robbery, assaults occasioning bodily harm, possessing dangerous drugs, and possess utensils.

She is due to reappear at Maroochydore Magistrates Court on August 16.

Detectives have charged an 18-year-old Mount Coolum man with two counts of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, and one count each of armed robbery and assaults occasioning bodily harm.

He is due to reappear at Maroochydore Magistrates Court on August 16.

Police are continuing to appeal to any witnesses, or anyone who may have captured footage in the area at the time, to come forward.
