Two people have been charged after an alleged altercation resulting in a woman’s finger being severed in Greenbank last night, Queensland Police say.
Around 9.30pm, members of the public located a 37-year-old woman alone near Ison Road, Greenbank with non-life threatening injuries to her face and leg as well as a severed finger. Police attended the scene and located the woman’s finger nearby.
She was transported to the Princess Alexandra hospital for treatment.
A 42-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman have both been charged with one count each of deprivation of liberty, torture, unlawful wounding, grievous bodily harm and assault occasioning bodily harm.
They are due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.
