Grievous bodily harm charges in South Brisbane, QLD

Police have charged a woman after a man was struck by a car in South Brisbane last night, Queensland Police say.

At around 6.20pm, a vehicle was travelling on Little Stanley Street when it allegedly sped up, mounted the kerb and drove at a group of people who were walking on the footpath.

A man in the group was struck by the car and was treated at the scene for minor injuries to his ankle and shoulder.

No one else was physically inured as a result of the incident.

It is further alleged that the car then sped off at high speed and was located at an address in Wilsonton at 8.30pm, where a woman was taken into custody.

A 35-year-old Coomera woman has been charged with four counts of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and is due to appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court today.
