Police are appealing for public assistance to help identify a man they believe may be able to assist their investigation into an assault in the Fortitude Valley on May 2, Queensland Police say.
Investigations suggest at around 1:20am a 20-year-old man was approached by another man in front of a licensed premises in the Brunswick Street Mall.
The man then allegedly punched the 20-year-old a number of times in the face before fleeing the scene on foot.
The man (pictured) is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 180cm tall, of a muscular build with short brown hair.
The 20-year-old man attended the Mater Hospital for treatment of damage to his face and teeth.
