Police are investigating after a man sustained serious injuries following an alleged assault at Torbanlea overnight, 23 July.
Initial investigations indicate that around 9.15pm, emergency services were called to the intersection of Gympie Street and the Bruce Highway following reports of a physical altercation at an unknown location in Torbanlea.
Upon arrival, a 50-year-old Mount Perry man was located with serious head injuries and was initially transported to Hervey Bay Hospital before being airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Womens Hospital.
Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have any relevant information or dashcam/CCTV footage to come forward.
