Life has become decidedly sweeter for a Gympie woman who picked the ripest prize of all by scratching a $100,000 top prize on her Instant Scratch-Its ticket.
The woman's top prize-winning $5 Fruit Explosion Instant Scratch-Its ticket was purchased at Ramsay Pharmacy Gympie Market Place, Shop 7&8, 12 Reef Street, Gympie.
The Queenslander revealed she picked up the winning ticket on a whim while shopping and was stunned when she discovered it was worth six figures.
"I'm still not sure it's really happened yet," she laughed.
"It was just a Scratchie I picked up after doing some shopping. It wasn't even the type I usually buy.
"I like to sit down at night with a Scratchie. It's something I enjoy.
"At first, I didn't realise how much I'd won. I only picked it up when I checked it again. I can't believe it!
"The biggest wins I normally see are little ones up to $20 or $50 - nothing like this."
The delighted winner said the windfall would provide some much-needed financial breathing room and help her tick a few items off her wish list.
"It'll definitely help with some home improvements. It's the little things you've always wished you could do around the house but never quite got around to," she shared.
"It's going to make life a bit easier, and that's a wonderful feeling."
