We're excited to announce that Hanby Street Reserve is getting an upgrade to make it greener, safer, and more enjoyable for everyone. This revitalization will complement the popular new playground and create a welcoming space for the whole community.
What's happening?
- Landscaping including fresh garden beds, additional trees and shrubs, pathway improvements and a more inviting eastern entrance at Roslyn Street.
- New park lighting will increase nighttime visibility and is designed to eliminate light spill into surrounding properties and upward waste light.
The reserve and playground will remain open throughout the works and existing lights will continue to operate until the new lighting is fully operational.
Works begin on 19 January and will be undertaken in stages, starting with landscaping. Weather permitting, all upgrades will be completed by the end of April.
