Two gym-goers managed to fit a citizen's arrest into their workout this afternoon, according to SA Police.
Police were called to Pirie Street, Adelaide about 2.50pm on Monday 1 October after reports a man had snatched a handbag and run off towards Exchange Place.
The would-be thief ran into two men leaving a gym, who grabbed him and detained him until police arrived.
The 22-year-old Andrews Farm man was reported for theft and assault and will face court at a later date.
The stolen handbag and its contents were returned to the victim, who was not injured during the incident.
Police wish to thank those members of the public for their assistance, it was greatly appreciated.
