Hard waste service caps

Please be aware that we have caps on the number of pickups per week due to the high demand. So we ask you to be patient if you miss out and log-in again ahead of the following week's bookings. Book your hard waste

Our hard waste service can collect quite a variety of items from furniture to e-waste and home appliances. However there are some items you need to keep out and guidelines as to how much you can dispose at each collection.

Most households can book two hard waste pick-ups each financial year (1 July- 30 June).

What can go in your hard waste?

Yes

  • home appliances, TVs, electrical goods and white goods (remove doors)
  • furniture
  • bed bases and mattresses (limit of two total)
  • carpet (max 1.5m long with a limit of 2 rolls)
  • electronic waste
  • paint tins and drums (empty, dry, lids off)
  • roofing iron (max 1.5m long)
  • sheet glass (wrapped)

No

  • household waste (including food), recycling or green waste
  • household chemicals and hazardous waste
  • gas bottles
  • bricks, rubble, roof tiles
  • tyres or car parts
  • fencing materials

Important note:

Please book your collection before you place your waste out so that we know that it is not illegally dumped waste.

Make sure that you place your items on the nature strip, on the Sunday before your scheduled collection. If it is not put out in time you may miss your collection and have to rebook.
