Have you seen Montmorency teen's green machine

Detectives from Banyule Crime Investigation Unit are appealing for public assistance in an effort to reunite a vintage car with its teenage owner.

Investigators have been told a 1979 Toyota Corolla sedan was stolen from outside an address on Sherburne Road, Montmorency sometime between 4 and 6am on Tuesday 27 October.

Investigators have released an image of the car in the hope someone can provide information on its current whereabouts.

The vehicle is a four-door sedan, light green in colour with a distinctive black bonnet, alloy mag wheels and was displaying Victoria registration 1QU 2GG.

The vehicle had been recently purchased a 17-year-old boy who has an interest in classic cars.

He had been doing up the vehicle while also learning to drive.
