The City of Stonnington will host its fifth annual Healing Ceremony, Monday, 26 January 2026 at Malvern Cricket Ground.
Our community is invited to join us and our Traditional Custodians, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung peoples of the Kulin Nation, to pay respect and acknowledge their living connection to Country, relationship with the land and all living things extending back tens of thousands of years.
The ceremony includes:
Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony with Wurundjeri Elder Aunty Annette Xiberras
Yidaki performance by Kiernan Ironfield
musical performance by John Wayne Parsons and band
BBQ lunch.
Auslan interpreters will be available on the day and don't forget to bring your refillable water bottle as refill stations will be available.

The ceremony supports Council's Reconciliation journey and provides an opportunity for the community to learn about what the day means to Traditional Custodians.
