Health Department to Address Aged Care Inquiry

The Australian Parliament’s Health, Aged Care and Sport Committee will be holding a public hearing in Canberra on Thursday, 24 May 2018, as part of its ongoing Inquiry into the Quality of Care in Residential Aged Care Facilities in Australia.

The Committee Chair, Mr Trent Zimmerman MP, said the Committee has heard from a number of sector representatives about the current framework for the delivery of aged care in residential facilities.

"With a number of reforms recently announced by the Australian Government, the Committee is interested to hear from the Department of Health on how these reforms will improve aged care into the immediate and long-term future," Mr Zimmerman said.
