A Helensburgh man's morning commute came with an unexpected pit stop after he discovered he'd scored $8 million in Oz Lotto.
The New South Wales resident held the only division one winning entry nationally in Oz Lotto draw 1680, drawn Tuesday 28 April 2026. He pocketed a whopping $8 million.
Despite snagging a multi-million dollar win, the hardworking man shared he wouldn't be retiring anytime soon.
"Haha! What a wonderful call!" he laughed.
"I'm just driving to work. This is surreal.
"Now I'm parked, I can take a screenshot!
"At first, a prize amount of $14.90 just appeared so I had no idea that I'd won big, I just thought 'Surely you're not calling about that'.
"I'm going to call my wife after this, and we'll pop the champagne once we see the millions in our bank account!
"It certainly gives you a lot of options. While it could be nice to retire, I think I'll keep working. I would get bored otherwise.
"I've been playing for years, and I just do a QuickPick.
"Thank you so much! Now I better get to work and let the news sink in."
His winning 6-game QuickPick entry was purchased via The Lott app - the official home of Australia's lotteries.
The winning numbers in Oz Lotto draw 1680 on Tuesday 28 April 2026 were 23, 33, 13, 28, 9, 25 and 32, while the supplementary numbers were 21, 34 and 11.
