Active Monash is proud to support Share the Dignity in their mission to end period poverty - and we're calling on the community to get involved this March.
Period poverty and shame can prevent people who menstruate from fully participating in everyday life. By raising awareness and increasing access to essential menstrual products, we can help reduce these barriers and support dignity for all.
About Share the Dignity
Share the Dignity is a charity making an on-the-ground difference by providing essential period products to people experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, or doing it tough.
How you can help
Throughout March, Active Monash's three aquatic and recreation centres are collection points for the Share the Dignity Dignity Drive. We encourage everyone who can to donate new, sealed menstrual products.
Why It Matters
By contributing to the Dignity Drive, you're helping ensure that people who menstruate have access to the basic products they need - it shouldn't be a case of choosing between food for their family and period products.
Together, we can help break the stigma around menstruation and support greater dignity and wellbeing across our community.
