Help shape future of Moe

Latrobe City Council is seeking expressions of interest from Moe people of all ages to be part of the Project Reference Group for the Moe Revitalisation Project Stage 2.

Stage 1 was the new Moe Service Centre and Frank Bartlett Library on George Street. This was completed in 2016/17.

The group will work with Council to act as a source of, and a sounding board for, concepts and ideas in refining and updating the master plan developed for the precinct.

Stage 2 is funded and entails the redevelopment of the car park and old skate park east of the Moe Service Centre. If further funding becomes available, this project may include Stage 3: renewing the streetscapes of George Street and Moore Street.

"This is an exciting opportunity for people who are passionate about Moe to be able to contribute to a lasting legacy for the town," Latrobe City Council Mayor, Cr Sharon Gibson said.

"We have wonderful volunteers and community-minded people in Moe, and they're the type of people Council would love to hear from."

The Project Reference Group will meet every two to four weeks as required.

Closing date for expressions of interest is Sunday 28 March 2021 at 5pm. Lodge your expression of interest on the website: www.latrobe.vic.gov.au/MRPStage2
