Help Shape Our Community Engagement Principles

Engagement-policy-26

We recently asked the Monash community to share experiences of taking part in Council engagement activities, and what good engagement looks like to you.

Almost 300 people shared feedback on what we do well and what we need to improve. We then held four focus groups in March to further explore people's experiences, expectations and barriers to getting involved.

This input has helped us refine the principles that will guide how Monash Council plans, designs, delivers, evaluates and reports on community engagement when we ask our community for input or feedback on our plans, policies, strategies and projects.

These principles focus on engagement that is accessible, inclusive, informed, meaningful, respectful and transparent.

Now we are asking our community if we got these principles right. Visit Shape Monash to read the principles and what they mean in practice, and tell us whether they meet your expectations and what we should change or add.
