Help sought to identify woman, NSW

Police are appealing for public assistance to identify a woman whose body was found at Brighton-Le-Sands this morning, NSW Police say.

Officers from St George Police Area Command were called to Lady Robinsons Beach about 8.45am today (Tuesday 11 December 2018), and retrieved the body from shallow water.

A crime scene was established and an investigation commenced; however, police have been unable to identify the woman.

She has been described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in her late 60s or early 70s, with a slim build and short, reddish-brown hair. She was wearing a purple jumper, khaki shorts, and red shoes and had black reading glasses.

Anyone with information about the woman’s identity is urged to contact Kogarah Police or Crime Stoppers.
