Helping Little Ones Get Ready For Kindergarten

Melton City Council is gearing up for Kindergarten Readiness Month, with a series of free information sessions to help families prepare for three‑ and four‑year‑old kindergarten.

Parents and carers can learn about the benefits of kindergarten, how many hours of free kinder they may be eligible for, and how to navigate the registration process with confidence.

Families with children turning three or four by 30 April 2027 are encouraged to come along and get practical guidance on key registration timelines, what to expect after submitting an application, and what support is available if they need extra help along the way.

From 17-19 March, families can also explore 27 local kindergartens during Council's Kindergarten Open Sessions. These evenings are a great chance to meet educators, tour facilities and discover what each kinder offers.
