Henry Thornton charged with CA Code of Conduct breach

Cricket Australia (CA) advises that New South Wales Metro bowler Henry Thornton has been charged with a Level 1 breach of the CA Code of Conduct in a Toyota Futures League match against Victoria on 12 February at Jubilee Park.

Thornton was reported for breaching CA's Code of Conduct Article 2.1.6 – using language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter upon his/her dismissal during a Match.

The offence occurred during Victoria's innings, when following a dismissal, Thornton used language which could have provoked an aggressive reaction from the batsman upon his dismissal.

Match Referee Damian Herft considered the umpires' report and proposed an official reprimand.

Thornton admitted to the offence and accepted the reprimand.
