High-range PCA charge after car crashes, rolls - South Granville

A woman has been charged with high-range drink-driving after her vehicle crashed into a parked car then rolled at South Granville this morning.

Officers from Cumberland Police Area Command were called to the intersection of Clyde and Byrnes streets, about 1.40am today (Monday 10 May 2021), and found a Mazda6 on its roof.

The driver, a 22-year-old woman, tested positive to a roadside breath test and was arrested and taken to Granville Police Station, where she returned an alleged breath analysis reading of 0.173.

The woman, who is from Auburn, has been issued with a future court attendance notice for high-range PCA, and negligent driving.

Her licence has been suspended; the court details are still being determined.

A passenger in the vehicle was not injured.
