The Hills Shire Local Government Election is happening this Saturday, December 4.

Voting is compulsory for all residents who are registered to vote.

If you can't make this Saturday's election, Pre-poll is available up until Friday, December 3 at three locations across the region, including:

  • Castle Hill Cultural Centre (under Castle Hill Library) at the corner of Pennant Street and Castle Street, Castle Hill;
  • The Hills Returning Officer's Office at 15z Connie Avenue, Baulkham Hills; and
  • Wrights Road Community Centre at Wrights Road, Kellyville (opposite Kellyville Village Shopping Centre).

All residents who are eligible to vote can cast their vote via Pre-poll. Residents attending a Pre-poll centre will need to wear a mask, check-in with a QR code and they are also encouraged to bring their own pen with them.

Residents who meet the strict eligibility criteria can also vote using the NSW Electoral Commission's online and telephone voting platform, called iVote. Registrations to use iVote are now open: www.ivote.nsw.gov.au.

Residents are also encouraged to check their details on the NSW Electoral Commission's website ahead of Saturday's election, particularly to see if they are enrolled to vote in The Hills Shire and to find out which ward they live in, as well as nearest polling booths on the day.

For further details or to apply for iVote, visit the NSW Electoral Commission's website: www.elections.nsw.gov.au.
