Hino national roadshow visits Townsville

HINO AUSTRALIA

Townsville was at the centre of Australia's transport focus, with leading truck manufacturer Hino visiting Townsville with its inaugural National Roadshow last week.

The Hino convoy is set to travel over 130,000 kilometres around the country this year, bringing its full range of next-generation trucks valued at over $3 million to a diverse selection of cities and towns.

The Roadshow is the biggest ever joint undertaking between Hino Australia and its dealers, and visited Honeycombes Hino last week.

"The concept of the Hino Roadshow is fantastic, we showcased vehicles from across the 300, 500 and 700 Series range, while also celebrating 80 years of Hino globally," said Warrick Hill, Sales Manager – Trucks at Honeycombes Hino.

"The entire model line-up has received significant enhancements over the past five years, and it is a terrific opportunity for our customers to compare a selection of award-winning light, medium and heavy-duty trucks.

"Townsville was one of the first stops on the Hino Roadshow, which is great recognition of how important our region is in the national transport landscape," he continued.

Townsville also played host to Australia's leading truck journalists, who finished a drive program there before enjoying a weekend at the Townsville round of the Supercars Championship.

With the pandemic disrupting plans for the past two years, the dealer roadshow route will leverage opportunities such as being trackside at key Repco Supercars Championship events, such as the recent NTI Townsville 500.

Also included on the itinerary are major transport industry gatherings, such as the 2023 Brisbane Truck Show, the largest expo of its type in the southern hemisphere.
