Hit And Run Appeal At Tamborine

Police are appealing for public assistance as part of the investigation into a hit and run traffic incident at Tamborine, this morning, 2 August.

Initial investigations indicate just before 6am, a dark-coloured 2025 Kia Tasman utility and a motorcycle were involved in a crash on Waterford Tamborine Road just north of Sonny Kibble Place.

The Kia Tasman, which is believed to have damage to the right front and driver's door, failed to stop at the scene.

The 47-year-old male rider sustained serious leg injuries and was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment.

Police are appealing to the driver of the utility to come forward.

Investigators are also appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has vision of the area around the time of the incident to contact police.
