Hit and run crash at Yandina

A pedestrian remains in a serious condition at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital after been hit by a car in Yandina last night.

Around 8pm the 33-year-old Nambour man, was walking on Fleming Street near Scott Street when he was struck by a Toyota Yaris.

Investigators are appealing for anyone who saw a white Toyota Yaris travelling on Bruce Highway headed north from Maroochydore Road or in the township of Yandina prior to 8pm to contact police.

Investigators are also appealing for anyone who was travelling in the area and has relevant dashcam vision to contact police.

The driver of the Yaris has spoken with police and investigations are continuing.
