A man has been charged, and investigating are ongoing following an alleged hit and run traffic crash at Main Beach last night, 02 May.
It will be alleged about 9pm, police and emergency services were called to a carpark on Waterways Drive following reports a 23-year-old Seven Hills woman had been struck by a grey Ford Ranger.
The Ford allegedly fled prior to police arrival.
The 23-year-old woman sustained serious injuries and was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital.
The driver of the Ford, a 40-year-old Nerang man, has since been charged with one count of driving while relevant drug is present in saliva.
He is expected to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on 23 June.
